Mariachi Estrella is the performing mariachi ensemble of the SFYSA's Mozart y Mariachi program and is directed by Mariachi Tenampa members, José Santiago and Raul Ojeda. It is a traditional ensemble including trumpet, violin, and harmonia. In addition to preparing for the SFYSA's semester concerts, Mariachi Estrella performs at local events and conferences. Community members can request to have Mariachi Estrella perform at private and public events and should contact the SFYSA office for details. Any payment resulting from performances goes directly to the scholarship/equipment fund for Mariachi Estrella students.
