SFYSA | Programs: Con Vivo!

Beginning with the 2008-2009 concert season, the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association will be providing an opportunity for extremely gifted, young string musicians to audition to become members of Con Vivo!, a chamber string orchestra. Con Vivo! will offer its players a venue in which to perform first-rate string orchestra literature, prepare for personal musical ambitions, and participate in performance tours both regionally and abroad.

Requirements for Participation
Students must...
1. be between the ages of 14-20 (as of January 1, 2009)
2. be active members in good standing of the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Orchestra for the 2008-2009 concert season (rehearses Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.)
3. commit to the Spring Tour and related activities (Fundraising opportunities will be available to defray the cost of travel. Financial concerns should not prohibit any student from considering participation.)

Rehearsal Time and Location
Rehearsals will be held on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Desert Academy - 313 Camino Alire, Santa Fe

Tuition
Tuition for Con Vivo! will be $300.00 per season. Payment plans and limited scholarships are available upon request. Scholarship applications are available on the DOWNLOADS page.

A European Tour is planned for early June 2009.
